This week was my first week in Second year in my degree. . . and i m happy that i have moved on and progress visibly. Things are slightly more interesting, making me keen to start school. The worst part of this week was my computer that broke down twice and finally after complaining the second time Dell replace all the parts inside the computer: in other words i got a new computer (changed the M B, graphic card, rams, and screen . . . .) wish they changed the processor i want the new Intel Core 2 Duo now that would really make a difference. After the changed i requested a clean formatting and partitioning (so i can run xp too) to my com and now my com is working like new new new . . . way faster then it was before. . . . i was really amazed!!

My com was a major problem from last week, stuck, hangs and freezes. Worst is that i cant start after shutting down. The dell logo did not start meaning is the hardwares that caused these complications. . . weirdly i was surprise it wasn’t caused by a virus or anything and thankfully my warranty was the full warranty for 3 years Thank God i got it. Imagine paying for all those parts . . .. it will sum up to a new laptops price- not that i don’t want a completely new laptop but i believe my mom will kill me first and blame me for not taking care of my com bla bla bla. . . . but I m glad that’s over

As for school, some classes are significantly smaller. Its a sad thing because friends are not there in the same class with you, you feel alienated and distanced. There isn’t much that i can do but to continue giving encouragements to them so that they don’t feel left out and supporting them anyhow because they are friends period. . . I hope for the best and i always think positive. I know things will change as time pass and coping with change is crucial in surviving on every field. As of now school has problems about courses and the sudden change Curtin imposed: changes are everywhere and worst is that its not confirmed by the lecturers yet, more of it Monday when the lecturers brief us about the final dictate.

Ever since the start of history the culture of the Chinese are very much influenced by the existence of the heavenly, magical world and realms of the ancients. The culture is centralizing on the concept of an empire ruled by Gods and the stratas in which divisions were made to accommodate room for all principles on every level of understanding to work, thus the numerous Gods that are worshipped by Chinese everywhere. The organization seems to be at every level and at the stage then we will understand that the Chinese were rather civilized. Despite the ruling system of the emperor being as ruthless and forceful, the concept of the Emperor being the Dragon and has the power to do anything at his will, his words are as good as law made the whole country bow down to pay homage to him as he was God may seem to be unacceptable to us but this fact and the condition made by the emperor to be in control of everything made it possible for the Chinese to be educated, successful and philosophical. The ruling system made the Chinese civilized and full of traditions shrouded in mists of laws of the heavens, and the ancestors.

. The Chinese are by far one of the oldest living Civilization, despite the end of the empires: the life of the civilization still exist. It doesn’t need to have a central ruling system to order the people all over, the Chinese are ruled by traditions. Tradition it self are laws and understanding. Those are words of emperors centuries ago, and from one rule to the other still live in the veins of Chinese all over. Traditions are not religious, regardless of the religion at heart: the Chinese will always carry a Chinese soul with them because it has been so for centuries. Word of law were passed down from Father to son, Mother to daughter….. and the sir name that all Chinese have are a gift from the Gods. These names are never named by an individual’s liking but every family in the Chinese history was named by the First Emperor of China. He made it a must for every Han (the Chinese clan that nearly all of today’s Chinese belong to) to have a proper family name that reflected the family work and the standing in the heavens. Its also a blessing for the family and for generations to come that carries the sir name. .
. Tradition are the key to the identity of a people. Chinese people are everywhere and most time are very distinguishable, with the yellow skin and small narrow eyes: these days the evolution of the world and people made the facial feature and identity more blurry yet the only item that made it possible to recognize is the tradition one holds. The most important tradition other then Feng Shui that many regard as trully Chinese is Chinese New Year.
Chinese New Year is celebrated to usher in the new year where winter ends and the wonderful Spring season heats the earth for greenery to blossom the then dead earth. The festival is held at gradeur and loudly to Chase away the evil spirit that kept the land cold and the one that steals the soul’s warmth for ones heart. The Chinese believe that the loudness scares the demons away and to keep the past in the past and look forward for what is to come, where starting a new is a must. House cleaning and decorating the house with new furniture or covers, and also the red-ness of the celebration. Red to the Chinese brings luck and since that it is bright and hot it is said to chase away the bad evils and welcome in the Good and the heaven.
. . Traditions such as sending the Gods to Heaven a day or two before new year so that he can meet the Jade Emperor (ruler of the heavens) and send his annual report on the family. This act is to collect deeds and sins that were done and to come back in the new year full with blessing and happiness from the Heavens. The Chinese will have dinner together on New Years Eve, and at the stroke of mid night; it is time to invite the God of Prosperity (the 3 Gods, God of Longevity, God of Prosperity, God of Fertility) to the house so that he will bless the family with money and luck. The next is to visit temples all over the neighborhood for prayers and respects. The whole process is where we see the flow from family gathering to hopefuls and good thought for what to come. The Chinese never forget their ancestor…. every year family members will pay their respect to the ancestors at home and at the graveyard. It is a wonderful sight where members know who was their fore-father and still continue to respect them even though generations have passed.
. . Family traditions are strict and are laws on how to place items on the table and which to pray or bow to upon first. Its the understanding of which is on which level. Even so this has a lot to do with the Chinese believes of which is right based on Feng Shui of the ancients. Traditions are strong but since the ruthless emperor made his mark it is also a lasting effect on the people as well. . . . . Chinese generally don’t respect talking and negotiating to educate a child, they would prefer to be forceful to instill. As much as i adore Chinese being traditional to the customs that make them who they are, i don’t agree on force to teach a child . Chinese love each other very much yet LOVE was never shown . . . . . . . . (you do know that a mother loves you yet you still dont trust her seemingly she doesn’t trust you yet alone listen to you. . . its sad yet the culture that made the Chinese successful in work made them a failure in family) .
