The latest instalment to the Batman trilogy: The Dark Knight, The film is a direct sequel to 2005’s Batman Begins, which rebooted the Batman franchise after an eight-year hiatus. Christopher Nolan, director of Batman Begins, continues as the director of the sequel, in which Christian Bale reprises his role as Batman. The character becomes more of a detective in The Dark Knight, as he deals with the escalation of the situation from the end of Batman Begins as personified by the Joker, portrayed by the late Heath Ledger. He also deals with the dilemma of his vigilante crusade, and his friendship with district attorney Harvey Dent, played by Aaron Eckhart.

Nolan was initially unsure of returning for the sequel, but eventually decided upon creating a new interpretation of the Joker, based on the villain’s original appearances in comic book lore. The Dark Knight was filmed primarily in Chicago, as had been done for Batman Begins, as well as several other locations in and outside the United States. The director also used an IMAX camera to film four major action sequences, including the Joker’s first appearance. The Batsuit was redesigned, with a cowl allowing Bale to move his head, and a recreation of the Batcycle known as the Batpod will be introduced.

The studio undertook a viral marketing campaign for The Dark Knight in which websites were created so Batman fan collaboration would reveal items such as new screenshots from the film. The film will also be marketed by selling related toys and an animated direct-to-DVD anthology titled Batman: Gotham Knight that is set between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. The Dark Knight will be released on July 18, 2008 in the United States and on July 25, 2008 in the United Kingdom, wonder when over here. .

I don’t know any of these people personally but that (^^^^^) is just a nasty thing to say to or about anyone. If there had been any animosity between them (again I didn’t know him and don’t know her) I’m sure she still mourns for the death of her daughters father and one time friend.

The wrong person died the day he did in january 200.8Yet i feel that he went out with a major bang with the role he enroled in as the joker in the Dark Knight.His character was portrayed in such a way that not even jack nocholson will be remembered as the joker who did it the best.Heath really did over go the direction in which jack portrayed his side of the joker and went in a totally different direction.Jack was more of a killing uncle whereas Ledger was more of an actual physcopathic killer.Which in a sick way i absolutley loved and because of the way he acted in that film i have seen it three times since it was realised only a few weeks back.It is so addictive.Everything about it.The film.The makeup and his costumes.Hats off to the director cristopher Nolan may i add. Yet heath should of known what he was dealing with taking an overdose of opiods and diazipams because it is not the mix you do if you lvoe your life in which he said he did.However, if you find on youtube the video which is named i think `The last interview of heath ledger talking of the joker` or something along those lines.I realise i am writing a great deal but he deserves that at least. Yet i think he was an idiot for leaving his daughter to grow up without a father just because he took the role of the joker and adapted it into his own daily routine.However, rest in peace you may heathcliff andrew ledger

I HAVE TO SAY THAT THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF THE GREATEST MOVIES I HAVE EVER SEEN BY FAR!!! HEATH LEDGER DID AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING JOB AND BECAUSE OF HIM I HAVE SEEN IT 3 TIMES IN 2 WEEKS!! NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO TAKE HIS PLACE AS JOKER!!

EXCUSE ME??? It was NOT a suicide, and how dare you suggest his family was in some sort of denial or he would do something, when there was no “evidence” to suggest anything. He happened to have a nearly FULL and CLOSED pill bottle in his room. His case was ruled an tragic ACCIDENT. Who are you to pass judgement with something you knew so little about? You were not on his case, or knew him. I’m sure of all people his FAMILY would know better than YOU.

I wish someone could go back and tell him to not take the pills together because it is deadly. At least for those who believe (not to offend those who don’t) we will be able to meet him in heaven along with countless others who have been sadly taken from the earth way before their time. R.I.P Heath Ledger loved and missed by all those who knew or wanted to know you. See you soon.
